Oxford University Press Global Leadership Visits iFLYTEK

On May 9, iFLYTEK's Shanghai headquarters welcomed a special group of guests – the global leadership of Oxford University Press (OUP). This visit not only deepened the mutual understanding but also laid a solid foundation for potential in-depth collaboration between the two parties in the future.

On the same day, Fathima Dada, Managing Director of OUP's Education Division, and Ding Rui, Managing Director of OUP China, had an in-depth exchange with iFLYTEK's senior executives, including Senior Vice President and CFO Duan Dawei, and Liu Weiwei, General Manager of the Pan-Asia Region of the International Cooperation Department. They discussed and experienced the latest progress of their ongoing collaboration.

Accompanied by iFLYTEK staff, the Oxford University Presss delegation embarked on a tour of iFLYTEK's AI Showroom. The showroom showcased a diverse range of cutting-edge AI technologies and products, including virtual anchors, translation machines, electronic dictionaries, smart education devices, and learning machines, fully showcasing iFLYTEK's profound technical expertise in the AI field.


Duan Dawei elaborated in detail on the collaboration between iFLYTEK and Oxford University Press on two projects: the dictionary pen and the learning machine. He particularly noted that the partnership on the iFLYTEK dictionary pen with Oxford University Press has a long history and has been very successful. He expressed hope for more extensive future collaborations on the dictionary pen. Ms. Fathima and Duan Dawei had an in-depth exchange about potential future collaboration models.

The collaboration between iFLYTEK and Oxford University Press on the iFLYTEK AI learning machine has yielded remarkable results. Currently, the English graded reading section of the learning machine features nearly 200 Oxford picture books from six major series, including "Oxford Reading Tree", "Oxford Bookworms", and "Oxford English for China". These picture books, meticulously crafted by renowned British educators and children's language education experts, employ the rigorous and progressive Oxford graded reading system, ensuring both authority and professionalism. This rich collection of English reading resources on the iFLYTEK AI learning machine provides children with a world-class reading experience.

During the visit, the guests from Oxford University Press showed great interest in iFLYTEK’s AI education technology. They were particularly impressed with innovative features such as dialogues with AI Avatar Einstein, personalized precise learning, and AI-powered spoken dialogues.

The personalized precision learning feature particularly captivated them. This feature utilizes OCR correction technology and a vast database of questions to customize individual learning plans for students, significantly enhancing educational quality and efficiency.

Additionally, the guests from Oxford University Press personally experienced iFLYTEK's large model technology. They not only engaged in fluent English conversations with the large model but also witnessed firsthand the generation of a PPT framework for primary education by the model.

At the end of the event, the Oxford University Press’s delegation presented iFLYTEK with a beautifully crafted Oxford-themed print, symbolizing the deep friendship between the two parties and their anticipation of future collaborations. This visit not only solidified the foundation of their partnership but also paved the way for iFLYTEK and Oxford University Press to complement each other's strengths in the field of education.
