iFLYTEK Wins Award and Recognition During the 2023 PMI (China) Project Management Awards

The PMI (China) Congress 2023 recently occurred in Shanghai, where iFLYTEK was among the PMO Award of the Year winners. This prestigious recognition, the highest in the PMO category of the annual PMI (China) Project Management Awards, underscores the industry’s recognition of iFLYTEK’s exemplary project management capabilities.

During the event, Duan Dawei, the Vice President and CFO of iFLYTEK, highlighted that iFLYTEK Spark Desk is increasingly applicable across diverse sectors, such as education, automotive, finance, industry, and healthcare, thanks to four significant upgrades to the model.

“The widespread anticipation for the advancement of large models primarily revolves around the progress of general artificial intelligence,” according to Duan. Highlighting examples of iFLYTEK’s progress, Duan said the iFLYREC smart conference system stands out in the realm of perceptual intelligence, transcribing speech into text at an impressive pace of nearly 400 words per minute—outperforming traditional stenographers both in speed and accuracy. The system and iFLYTEK’s other speech and language products were used in the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest to bridge language barriers for the event’s global audiences.

Duan Dawei also shared iFLYTEK’s experience in management innovation. “We have noticed that the traditional cost-volume-benefit analysis model is ineffective for analyzing costs and enhancing efficiency in the AI industry,” he said. To address the challenge of increasing revenue without a corresponding profit increase, iFLYTEK has developed a “three-tier shelf management model.” This involves categorizing the technical, product, and program tiers based on industry characteristics, thereby structuring and standardizing technology, products, and services.

The “three-tier shelf management model” consolidates the outcomes of all iFLYTEK research and development projects into a standardized baseline. It is managed according to a three-tier architecture of technology, products, and solutions to facilitate internal and external transactions, promote internal sharing of development results, prevent redundant development efforts, and reduce resource input. It also involves external resource integration, ensuring swift baseline delivery, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting scalable growth.

Duan Dawei emphasized that iFLYTEK is dedicated to integrating cutting-edge technology with industry-specific application scenarios, transforming traditional approaches to achieve heightened efficiency. In its management practices, iFLYTEK has introduced the concept of AI+IT, using AI technology to enhance management. Combining artificial intelligence with information systems achieves intelligence and automation in financial and project management.

“iFLYTEK continues to pioneer the application of artificial intelligence technology in the process of project management, striving for dual-directional enhancement.” Duan Dawei shared that discussions on project management primarily revolve around scientific management, constituting a crucial concept and starting point that underpins the advancement of new industries and technologies.
