Singtel Visits iFLYTEK for Exchange and Collaboration

Recently, Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) visited iFLYTEK for an exchange and discussion session. The two parties held in-depth talks on innovation strategies and market expansion in areas such as computing power infrastructure, large-scale model applications, and AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) innovation.

Attendees included General Manager Jenny Fong and Deputy General Manager Elynn Zhou of Singtel’s Data Center (Nxera) Business, Xu Yun, Deputy General Manager of iFLYTEK’s Intelligent Computing Business Unit, and Liu Xiaoqiang, Director of the Smart City Strategic Cooperation Department, among others. Jenny Fong and her delegation first toured the iFLYTEK AI Exhibition Hall, gaining insights into the company’s developments across key sectors such as education, healthcare, and smart cities. Subsequently, Jenny Fong provided an overview of Singtel’s operations. With over a century of history, Singtel is Singapore’s largest and a world-leading digital service provider, boasting extensive expertise in mobile communications, data centers, AI infrastructure, and other digital infrastructure projects. Currently, Singtel is actively involved in digital infrastructure development across markets including the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India.

 

She expressed hopes for deeper collaboration with iFLYTEK in the future, leveraging iFLYTEK’s general AI capabilities to jointly explore the applications of large model and related technologies in the Asia-Pacific region. Such cooperation would help extend China’s computing power solutions globally while contributing "Chinese innovation" to regional digital transformation. Xu Yun highlighted iFLYTEK’s efforts in intelligent computing center construction and supporting cities in building AI-driven industrial ecosystems. Liu Xiaoqiang added that iFLYTEK looks forward to partnering with Singtel to expand into overseas markets, exploring the feasibility of large model deployments in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, while extending best practices in AI governance worldwide. Moving forward, both parties will strengthen communication and collaboration to advance projects from computing infrastructure to platform-based scenario applications, driving growth and innovation in the regional digital economy.
