iFLYTEK Empowers Smart Cultural Tourism Development in Guangde

At the 2023 China Smart Scenic Spot Development Summit, hosted by the China Association of National Parks and Scenic Sites and the Zhejiang Association of Scenic Areas in Hangzhou, iFLYTEK highlighted its success in building digitally-enhanced “Bamboo Town Corridor.” Located in Guangde, the City Brain powers the corridor and is driving the transformation of smart cultural tourism.

Guangde, with its highly-regarded appeal to tourists and quality services, has been recognized as "China's Most Beautiful City in Cultural Tourism." Recently, Guangde developed the “Bamboo Town Corridor” with iFLYTEK as a scenic road empowered by algorithms and cutting-edge technology.

According to Jin Xiong, General Manager of iFLYTEK’s Cultural Tourism Business Unit, intelligent search and intelligent speech-empowered apps have changed the way of human-computer interactions and improved tourist experiences.

For example, intelligent search allows automatic navigation so tourists can more easily find their destinations. Additionally, all services are comprehensively detailed with the help of intelligent analysis applications, providing tourists with more agency in their trip management and decision-making. By introducing the “Bamboo Town Corridor” app, Guangde aims to enable tourists to enjoy the Bamboo Town by clicking a button.

The app consists of four components—Touring, Scenery, Cuisine, and Accommodation—and can be used for booking tickets, A.I.-empowered inquiries, accessing the digital corridor, exploring rural tourism, finding cultural and creative fairs, and more. Intelligent one-stop services assist tourists and better manage local tourism resources.

The “Smart Scenic Spots Index” was also released during the summit. As an editor of the index, iFLYTEK helped provide a reference for areas improved by digital transformation efforts. In the future, iFLYTEK will continue to develop high-quality intelligent services in the “Bamboo Town Corridor” and further drive the digital transformation of cultural tourism and other industries.
