Since 1975, Shanghai has undertaken the task of sending medical teams to Morocco. Each team serves a two-year term, and to date, 196 medical teams with nearly 2,000 members have been dispatched, making outstanding contributions to the development of the local healthcare industry. The 197th medical team to Morocco is scheduled to depart for Morocco in late November 2024 to carry out foreign medical aid tasks.

While the headquarters of the Chinese medical team in Morocco is based in its capital Rabat, most medical stations are located in remote mountainous, desert, and inland regions. The medical teams face challenges in adapting to the harsh natural environment and overcoming language barriers. Although online translation tools are available, they do not fully address the communication issues.

The dual-screen translation device donated by Xunfei Healthcare incorporates a multitude of core technologies from iFLYTEK, including speech synthesis, speech recognition, speech evaluation, image-text recognition, and machine translation. It supports online translation in over 80 languages, offline translation in 17 languages, and photo translation in 32 languages. Whether in complex medical scenarios, involving professional medical terminology, or in daily communication, the dual-screen translation device can accurately convert languages with exceptional precision and stability.

At the donation ceremony, Tao Xiaodong stated that international medical aid is a grand practice of humanitarian spirit and a bond connecting the emotions and hopes of people from different countries. Xunfei Healthcare is honored to contribute to the medical aid mission in Morocco.

Moving forward, Xunfei Healthcare will continue to explore the application of SPARK Medical Large Model in auxiliary diagnosis, health management, telemedicine, and health hardware in medical aid to Morocco, aiming to make AI a key force in ensuring the quality of foreign medical aid and improving the efficiency of medical services. This will create a new model of medical aid to Morocco that combines medical experts with AI.
