iFLYTEK Shines at 2024 World Chinese Language Conference, Showcasing the Beauty of Chinese Language

On November 15, the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference, hosted by China’s Ministry of Education, opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. With the theme of Internconnection, Integration, Inheritance, and Innovation, the 2024 conference attracted over 2,000 government officials, principals, scholars, teachers, students, and diplomats from more than 160 countries and regions. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the event.

During the conference, the 2024 Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Exhibition was also held, offering a platform for educational exchanges, industry communication, recruitment promotion, and resource sharing between China and other countries. The exhibition showcased Chinese language teaching resources, research achievements, and educational technology applications. iFLYTEK presented its Chinese language teaching and learning products in the Resource Zone and Digitization Zone, featuring five modules: SPARK Large Model, AI+ Chinese Teaching, AI+ Chinese Learning, AI+ Smart Grading, and AI+ Reading Evaluation. These modules demonstrated the new AI-powered models for Chinese language teaching and learning enabled by iFLYTEK’s advanced AI technology.

At the iFLYTEK booth, many attendees from China and abroad stopped to explore its cutting-edge products. The International Chinese Smart Education Cloud Platform, in particular, has garnered much attention for its rich features. Powered by iFLYTEK’s SPARK Large Model and other AI technologies, the platform offers teachers a full-suite AI assistant for lesson preparation, quizzes, and grading, while providing students with personalized learning assistance tailored to their proficiency level, resource recommendations, human-computer interaction, and learning assessments, which creates a complete learning cycle. Currently, the platform is in use at nearly 500 universities and institutions across 39 countries and regions.

On the afternoon of the 16th, iFLYTEK launched its new product, AI Chinese, offering solutions to address the shortage of qualified Chinese teachers overseas. In terms of intelligent teaching assistance, AI Chinese uses AI technology to reduce teachers’ workload across different scenarios, such as lesson preparation, classroom teaching, and after-class review, thereby improving teaching effectiveness. For intelligent learning, AI Chinese helps students efficiently learn Chinese, enhancing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering their interest in the language. Regarding exam preparation, AI Chinese offers a lightweight HSK mock exam system to assess students’ HSK levels, using testing to promote learning and helping students prepare for exams more effectively.

On the morning of the 17th, Wang Zhanglong, Vice President of iFLYTEK, presented a speech titled How Large Language Models Empower International Chinese Language Education during the parallel session of New Developments in International Chinese Language Education under the Background of Digital Intelligence, sharing insights into the latest AI applications in education and future trends.
