Large Language Models Empower Translation and International Communication: iFLYTEK Drives Industry Transformation with AI

On November 2, the Symposium on AI-Empowered Translation and International Communication and the First Stop of the "A Tour of a Hundred Universities to Enhance Technical Literacy in International Communication and Translation was grandly held at Beijing Foreign Studies University. With the core theme of "AI-Empowered Translation and International Communication Practices," the conference attracted over 300 representatives from universities, research institutions, and academia across the country. Together, they discuss the applications and prospects of AI technology in translation and international communication.

Wang Wei, Vice President of iFLYTEK and General Manager of iFLYREC, delivered a keynote speech titled "Large Language Models Empower Translation and International Communication." In his speech, he elaborated on the profound impact of artificial intelligence on the translation industry, technical innovations and product applications, as well as future development trends.

In his speech, Wang Wei mentioned that iFLYTEK has achieved a significant breakthrough in machine translation, enabling the system to accurately translate from short phrases to long sentences with an average accuracy rate of around 95%*. This technology has played a crucial role in major events like annual sessions of the NPC and the CPPCC and in people's daily work and study. In terms of speech synthesis, iFLYTEK has made substantial advancements in hyper-realistic voice cloning technology. The hyper-realistic feature in the iFLYTEK SPARK app can replicate a user's voice, facilitating more natural voice interactions and providing more convenient communication options for individuals with disabilities. Moreover, this technology offers robust support for the application of virtual humans in various fields such as integrated media. (*Note: The accuracy rate is based on laboratory tests.) Notably, iFLYTEK is currently the only company to build large language models on fully autonomous and controllable domestic computing power. It has constructed a universal cognitive intelligence foundation and is leveraging it to empower industries such as education, healthcare, office automation, media, and teaching.
