The Yangtze River Delta, known as one of China's most dynamic and innovative economic regions, is leveraging AI to drive systematic innovation across various sectors. On June 5, Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province hosted events for the 2024 Yangtze River Delta Entrepreneurs Union. During the event, three major alliances—the Yangtze River Delta Entrepreneurs Union, the Yangtze River Delta AI Industry Chain Union, and the Yangtze River Delta Industrial Internet Industry Chain Union—jointly revealed the Top 10 AI Application Scenarios in the region. These scenarios include smart healthcare, smart education, new energy, digital health, urban governance, intelligent manufacturing, and more. AI technology is rapidly transforming industries and becoming integral to every aspect of society.

AI Empowers Precision Teaching and Research and "Smart" Homework

How can schools assign homework more effectively? The Suzhou Smart Teaching and Research Platform is using digital technology to transform homework design and management. By combining big data and small data with AI, the platform has developed an innovative "homework design management system." This system collects and analyzes detailed data on homework, enabling the creation of "smart homework" tailored to students' needs. Already, 10 schools have joined this pioneering platform, exploring new ways to improve the homework experience.


Suzhou Nanhuan Experimental School is making strides with "Smart Homework" to improve education. Teachers are using the platform's resources along with the school's unique environment to create personalized assignments for their students. By reviewing students' homework reports, teachers get real-time insights into their progress. This approach seamlessly integrates homework with classroom instruction, allowing "Smart Homework" to be used for both in-class practice and out-of-class assignments. The result is a unified system of teaching, learning, and assessment that helps students understand key concepts thoroughly.


Zhuji City is quickly embracing "smart homework" with the rollout of a city-wide platform. This cutting-edge system seamlessly blends digital and intelligent components into every aspect of assignment management, from gathering resources and distributing homework to grading and analyzing student performance. Teachers can effortlessly craft personalized assignments using the platform’s vast database, while students receive AI-powered feedback that enhances learning and lightens their homework load. This initiative aligns with the national "double reduction" policy, which aims to ease students' workloads and enhance the quality of education.

Anhui Province's Imaging Cloud Platform Eases Access to Medical Care 

Getting medical care can be a hassle—visiting multiple hospitals for the same illness, redoing tests because past records aren’t recognized, and dealing with long lines and fees. Anhui Province is tackling these issues head-on with an innovative AI-driven imaging cloud platform. This platform, powered by advanced imaging data analysis and the iFlytek SPARK Large Model, brings cutting-edge imaging services to medical facilities across the province.


Thanks to AI, doctors can now compare a patient’s medical condition intelligently over time, tracking the progression of lesions and identifying changes to devise more effective treatment plans. Patients no longer need to carry or print traditional paper films for consultations or examinations. Instead, they can access and download digital images unlimitedly by scanning QR codes or clicking SMS links, receiving intelligent report analysis simultaneously. Medical institutions benefit from enhanced examination services through intelligent image quality control. As of April 2024, 1,960 medical institutions across Anhui Province were connected to the imaging cloud platform, benefiting over 57 million doctors and patients cumulatively.

AI Empowers Industrial Digital Upgrade

How can AI technology transform traditional manufacturing into intelligent manufacturing and support industrial upgrading? Enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region are leading the way with innovative solutions.


In the new energy sector, Antelope Industrial Internet has developed an intelligent energy sales platform that utilizes advanced models for analyzing energy policies, market trends, and customer billing. This platform provides a wide range of power services, such as consulting, technical support, and operation and maintenance, to meet the diverse needs of users. By integrating resources from power generation companies, equipment suppliers, and energy service providers, the platform ensures optimized resource allocation and efficient utilization through information sharing, business collaboration, and cooperative communication.


AI is also making strides in smart mobility, industrial upgrading, and digital health. For example, an AI-powered quality inspection system for photovoltaic component defects enhances manufacturing efficiency by quickly identifying and displaying defects, reducing labor costs.
